Radar Frequency

« Back to Glossary Index

Frequency describes the number of waves that pass a fixed place in a given amount of time.

Higher radar frequencies are much more sensitive to physical presences and therefore more likely to raise false alarms. For example, a grain of sand is 293 times more likely to be visible to a system at 24 GHz than a system at 5.8 GHz (which is Sensurity’s operating frequency).
