Storms Abigail and Barney – the first and second UK storms strong enough to be named – saw winds peak on Tuesday 17th November 2015, before conditions calmed down overnight.
The highest winds were recorded at 83mph in coastal areas of Northern Ireland. During this time a Halo system was operating fully with no false alarms due to the weather conditions. At the site where this system is installed the winds where recorded at 69mph and monitored closely throughout the storms.
Sensurity has revolutionised the perimeter intrusion detection market by pioneering and patenting intelligent security systems. Sensurity systems provide a reliable and intelligent way of detecting intruders. As a spin-off from research at Queen’s University Belfast, the company uses advances in digital technology to create a perimeter security solution that offers maximum detection with minimum nuisance alarms.
Sensurity’s HALO is the world’s most fully-featured microwave PID system, with the smallest installed footprint. Its digital design and narrow active alarm zone radically reduces false alarms, providing next generation security at the cutting-edge.
